On the 20th of September, the Blockchangers team launched their newest app, rebalance.to. This is a tool that helps to rebalance your crypto assets between different DeFi products quickly and easily.  To teach us about his new development, Kryptografen spoke to the CEO and co-founder himself, Jon Ramvi.

Blockchangers is based in Oslo, Norway. They are architects of blockchain innovation that help governments, enterprises, non-profits, and startups with blockchain strategy, business development, and implementation.

Ramvi starts explaining the concept behind Rebalance.to, “I figured out what people’s hesitation with buying crypto was. I decided that I would try and find solutions for them.” He wanted to find a way to allow users to invest in different DeFi products which now offers top of the market interest rates, quickly and without having to go through the motions of login into different portals with every investment.

How it works

It is very simple, you just log onto the rebalance.to website. Once there, the pre-downloaded MetaMask extension that is in theory permanently in your web browser, will pop-up and allow you to sign in to your wallet. This will then give you the opportunity to invest your Ethereum tokens in DeFi products such as DAI, ZRX, and MKR. You can then decide how much you want to invest and then slide on the bar of the different coins to diversify your investments. This will help someone, especially Ethereum owners that wants to invest small sums quickly.

Finger on the pulse with DeFi

DeFi is an abbreviation for decentralized finance. This generally refers to digital assets and financial smart contracts, protocols and decentralized applications (Dapps) that are built on Ethereum. For Ramvi, it is always been DeFi. “Even during the Bitcoin dip in 2017, Ethereum didn’t suffer and we continue to see exponential growth.” As he pulls up the Defi Pulse charts. The version that is now released is beta and comes with a disclaimer that this is at the users’ own risk.

Ramvi is insistent that this app will never be available for Bitcoin Chain. “Only Ethereum. The asset Bitcoin is supported on Ethereum and in DeFi with the wrapped Bitcoin asset, ERC20 and that is available on the app already.”

Hackathon

On October 5th, Ramvi and his team will find out if they are the recipients of the IDEO+ CoinList Hackathon award. This will be a chance for them to win a cash prize and have their app presented on the world stage. Which would be an exciting triumph for Norwegian blockchain developers.
