According to Coin Dance, a community-driven Bitcoin statistics and service site. Argentines are dumping record breaking amounts of pesos for bitcoin on LocalBitcoins. This is due to government default on its debt and the inflation the currency is suffering.
Arcane Research posted a graph on their twitter, showing Coindance statistics.
Here you see that the volume has increased 1028% in Argentine Pesos, 407% in BTC and 139% since the start of 2018. This shows that there is a substantial growth in real terms as well.
