Shopify is a subscription software service that allows anyone to create an online business. They help with easy website creation and shopping cart solutions, to sell, ship and control products. They have helped hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs from over 175 countries.
Coinpayments, a payment processor allows merchants to accept Bitcoin and over 1,905 types of altcoins (at the time this article was published). This is through easy plugins, APIs and POS interfaces. They have over 2.2 million users worldwide.
Ahead of this announcement, in 2019, the two companies ran a successful beta trial test.
This partnership will allow merchants, to make crypto transactions easy and will reduced transaction fees. This will also allow for cross-border payments, taking away the stress of multiple payment processors across different jurisdictions.
